Thomas M. Odum, 58, of Sachse, Texas, formerly of Zeigler, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, in Sachse, Texas.
A memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, in Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Burial will be in Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort. He will be laid to rest beside his father.
Thomas worked for CSA Service as a regional manager. He was a 1969 graduate of Zeigler-Royalton High School and had earned a bachelor's degree from SIU.
He was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Herrin to Oren M. and Eva Smith Odum.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Odum; two stepchildren, Stephen and Brittany; his mother, Eva Odum Wiseman; sisters, Jean McReynolds of Johnston City, Kimberly Gilmore of McKinney, Texas, and Lynn Goins of Marion; special cousin, Kay Snider of Zeigler; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, who was killed in Korea in 1951; and paternal grandparents, Rannie M. and Katie Odum, and maternal grandparents, George and Mabel Smith, all of West Frankfort.
