Leona Lovan, age 78, of West Frankfort, IL. passed away at 12:45 p.m. Friday, December 25, 2009 at the Westside Care Center. She was born April 19, 1931 in Orient, IL to Marion and Pearl (Braden) Avery.
Leona is survived by her sister: Minnie Wyant of West Frankfort, IL; and brothers: Richard Avery of Buckner, IL, James Avery of Buckner, IL and Charles Avery of Herrin, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband: Paul; parents; sisters: Joyce Pasquino, Imogene Reed, Addie Avery; and brothers: Roy, Marion Jr., Jack Avery, and Donald Avery.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday December 28, 2009 at Denning Cemetery in West Frankfort, IL. There is no visitation and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
