Denver Mitchell, Sr., age 83 of West Frankfort, IL passed away at 1:29p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL. He was born February 4, 1926 in Huntington, TN to Robert Dan Mitchell and Sarah Emmie Whitehorn.
He was a WWII Army Veteran. Denver is survived by three daughters: Sarah Pulliam, Jeanna Barney, Ardis (Sissy) farmer; five sons: David, Denver, Jr., Boone, Bobby, and Charlie Mitchell; 20 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother: Robert Mitchell; sisters: Dorothy Carnell and Barbara Tegotoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Lula Nell Scott.
